Cleveland, OH - NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio, the state’s leading advocate for personal privacy and a woman’s right to choose, today announced support for five candidates for statewide office: Governor Ted Strickland, candidate for Lt. Governor Yvette McGee Brown, Attorney General Richard Cordray, Treasurer Kevin Boyce and candidate for Secretary of State Maryellen O’Shaughnessy.
"When we first endorsed Governor Strickland in 2006 he pledged to protect reproductive rights in Ohio and he has kept that promise," Kellie Copeland, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio said. "Pro-choice Ohioans can count on Governor Strickland and his running mate Yvette McGee Brown to remain faithful to that promise.”
“We are also proud to endorse Attorney General Richard Cordray, Treasurer Kevin Boyce and candidate for Secretary of State Maryellen O’Shaughnessy. These candidates are committed to ensuring that Ohio women have access to reproductive health care, without coercion, threats of violence or intimidation,” said Copeland.
