Abstract: President Obama announced on Tuesday that he will nominate federal appeals judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. If confirmed, Sotomayer, who was raised in the Bronx, would be the first Hispanic and the third woman to ever serve on the Supreme Court.
