Columbus- Personal anecdotes, Scripture and more than a dash of politics took center stage Tuesday as lawmakers heard wide-ranging testimony on a bill seeking to ban most abortions in Ohio.

Framed against the backdrop of House Bill 228, which seeks to challenge the landmark Roe v. Wade case and ban most abortions in Ohio, often emotional testimony filled a Statehouse hearing room overflowing with ardent supporters and opponents of abortion rights.
