On May 9th the Ohio House Ways and Means committee passed Senate Bill 20 out of committee.  This bill (sponsored by Senator Clancy R-Cincinnati) would increase the Adoption Tax Credit from $500 to $1500 per child for families who choose to grow their families through adoption.  We hope that the Ohio House will consider this bill soon, and need your help to take action and email your representative to tell them to support this bill.

SB 20 reflects the core values of NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio, to protect and defend the full range of reproductive choices, and helps Ohio families defray the costs of adoption.  We are pleased that the Ohio legislature is finally listening to Ohioans and considering commonsense, common-ground legislation that improves access to reproductive health options for Ohioans and their families.  Please take action today and tell your representative to vote YES on SB 20 when it is considered by the full Ohio House.
