Demand Contraceptive Equity in Ohio!
On February 5, 2004 Senator Teresa Fedor introduced the Contraceptive Equity Bill (Senate Bill 194), to require insurance companies to cover prescription contraceptives if they cover other prescription drugs. This law is needed to ensure that Ohio families have equal access to all prescription medications - including contraceptives. Senate President Doug White has not acted on this bill and has not assigned it to committee for over two months. This important bill will never be considered by your elected representatives if President White does not refer this bill to a committee! Write to Senate President White TODAY and tell him that contraceptive equity is critical to women's reproductive health and that the Contraceptive Equity Bill deserves a fair hearing before the Insurance Committee NOW!
