37th Anniversary of Roe Events
Commemorate the 37th Anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision with NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio and our pro-choice partners around the state! In Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday, January 26: Featured speaker--Christina Page, author of How the Pro-Choice Movement Saved America: Freedom, Politics, and the War on Sex, and moderator of RHRealityCheck’s OnCommonGround forum. In Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, January 27th: Freedom of Choice Ohio and the National Council of Jewish Women-Columbus Section invite you to join us in celebrating the 37th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. An evening with activist & author Cristina Page and honoring Phyllis Shwartz for a lifetime of service will be held at: The OSU Fawcett Center 2400 Olentangy River Road Columbus, OH 43202 - The evening will begin at 6:00 PM with a cash bar.

About Christina Page: How the Pro-Choice Movement Saved America has been called “a major work on women’s rights” and a “stirring…provocative salvo in the abortion wars.” We will have copies of this book available for purchase at both events, price $12. Page is a prominent reproductive rights activist and consults for several national pro-choice groups, including the Adoption Access Network and the National Institute for Reproductive Health. The OnCommonGround forum is the only resource dedicated to covering news and perspectives on the search for common ground in the abortion conflict. Her pro-choice policy proposals have been adopted by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Governor Ed Rendell, and the New York and New Jersey state legislatures.
