NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio, formerly NARAL Ohio, is the state affiliate of NARAL Pro-Choice America and is the grassroots political arm of the pro-choice movement in Ohio. Our mission is to develop and sustain a grassroots constituency that uses the political process to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing safe, legal and accessible abortion. |

NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio mobilizes and trains hundreds of supporters across the state to get involved in the political process--from contacting legislators to working in campaigns to increase to number of pro-choice legislators representing us. |

State legislatures across the country have enacted over 350 anti-choice laws since 1995. Over the last decade, access to abortion services has steadily declined in Ohio and across the US. While abortion is legal, barriers to reproductive health services make it virtually impossible for many low-income women, women of color, and young women to get the care they need. Furthermore, anti-choice forces have actively opposed initiatives that would reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, such as expanding access to emergency contraception and comprehensive sex education. |
